Inner Feminine: Embodying the Flow of Your True Self

The inner feminine is the essence of emotional flow, intuition, and connection to the body. Brooke shared her journey of reconnecting with her feminine energy by allowing herself to feel her emotions fully and hold herself with compassion. One powerful moment Brooke described was how she created space to feel mopey or sad by wrapping herself in her arms and holding herself gently. This act honored the emotional experience rather than shaming or suppressing it.

  • Self-Soothing Through Emotional Awareness:
    When feeling emotional, find a quiet space and hold yourself with tenderness. Speak to yourself kindly, using terms of endearment like "baby girl," and validate your emotions as if you were the inner parent talking to a child. For example, Brooke would say, “I see you. I know it’s hard right now.”

Inner Masculine: Building Safety and Structure

The inner masculine creates safety, support, and grounding for the feminine to express itself freely. My inner masculine is a strong, sexy, and supportive figure who loves me unconditionally. Brooke shared how her previous experiences with external relationships helped her recognize the importance of creating internal safety through her own inner masculine.   • Visualizing the Inner Masculine:
    Close your eyes and picture your inner masculine as a strong, loving presence. Jenny envisions hers as a giant, muscular man who holds her lovingly from behind. Use this visualization whenever you feel ungrounded or unsafe to create an inner sense of support and stability. We go deeper into this practice in this post!

Somatic Healing: Transforming Through the Body

Somatic healing involves working with bodily sensations to process and release emotions. Emotions need to be felt and expressed through the body, not just analyzed in the mind. In the episode, Brooke shared how a somatic practice involving Rage Against the Machine allowed her to fully embody and release her rage. She described headbanging, punching, and moving her body as a way to process her emotions safely and powerfully.

  • Embodied Rage Release:
    When feeling anger or frustration, create a safe space to move your body in alignment with your emotions. Play an intense song and allow yourself to express your rage physically. Punch a pillow, stomp your feet, or headbang - whatever feels authentic. Focus on the sensations in your body as you release the energy. Remember, we want to do this work in private or around people who have consented to it. We are not taking out rage out on others. 


The Dance of Feminine, Masculine, and Somatic Healing
