The Best Medicine I’ve Ever Tasted
Dec 17, 2024
Have you ever felt stuck, unseen, or unable to speak your truth? In today’s post, I’m sharing my top practices that I used to support my client Angel in stepping fully into her worthiness. We explored deep emotional patterns, the father wound, and I guided Angel to connect with her inner masculine to create a foundation of safety, peace, and groundedness. If you’re ready to tap into your inner strength, heal your past wounds, and fully embody your worth, read on to discover practices and insights from this session!
The Inner Masculine: A Source of Strength and Groundedness
The inner masculine is the supportive, grounding energy within all of us. It offers safety, serenity, and the strength to hold ourselves steady, no matter what life throws our way. Angel’s journey in this session highlighted the power of connecting with this internal presence to navigate challenges and emotions. The inner masculine has been a big part of my journey as well and I talked about it in these posts:

How to Connect with Your Inner Masculine
How can we connect with our inner masculine? I guided Angel through a practice to embody and call upon her inner masculine and it is a practice you can use too!:
- Find a Quiet Space: Sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths, grounding yourself in the present moment.
- Invite the Inner Masculine: Imagine a calm, powerful presence coming to you. This might appear as a figure, energy, or sensation.
- Feel the Support: Visualize this presence standing behind you, holding you in a way that feels safe and supportive. Lean back into their energy, trusting their strength.
- Receive Their Qualities: Notice the feelings of peace, serenity, and groundedness that arise as you connect with this energy.
- Let the Relationship Evolve: With time, your inner masculine may take on new forms or bring unique qualities into your life. Allow this relationship to deepen naturally.
Angel described her inner masculine as a wise old man holding a sword of truth, radiating calm and assertive energy. This grounding visualization helped her feel safe and connected to her worthiness. The presence of your inner masculine may change over time (it definitely has for me).
Worthiness: Feeling Safe in Your True Power
Worthiness is a state of being where you trust in your inherent value. For Angel, stepping into her worthiness meant speaking her truth with serenity and holding herself steady amidst external chaos.
Daily Ritual to Embody Worthiness
I encouraged Angel to develop a daily ritual for anchoring into her worthiness with the help of her inner masculine. Here’s how you can do the same:
- Breathe into Your Body: Begin by noticing any sensations in your body.
- Call in Your Inner Masculine: Imagine this supportive energy coming to you.
- Anchor in Worthiness: Feel the safety and grounding this energy provides, and allow yourself to fully embody your worthiness.
- Integrate Throughout Your Day: Practice this visualization before challenging conversations or situations where you want to feel more grounded and confident.
By repeating this practice, you create a foundation of trust and self-worth that becomes accessible even in the most triggering moments. I also lay out an even deeper practice you can create with the inner masculine in this post!
Healing the Father Wound: Moving Beyond Pain
For Angel, much of her healing centered around the pain of being unseen by her father. She described a lifelong pattern of feeling misunderstood and lonely, rooted in early childhood experiences. Through somatic release and emotional exploration, I helped Angel process this wound. You can use this process for releasing emotional pain but I highly recommend working with a professional (either myself or someone else who is certified) to support you through this. Somatic Practice for Releasing Emotional Pain
- Locate the Pain in Your Body: Angel felt the swirling pain of loneliness in her chest. Tune into your body and notice where you hold the pain related to your father wound or similar experiences.
- Breathe and Express: Inhale deeply into the sensation, and exhale with sound—allowing whatever noise feels natural to come through. This could be a sigh, a hum, or even a loud cry.
- Allow Movement: Let your body move as it wants. This might be swaying, curling up, or stretching. Movement helps release stored tension and emotion.
- Stay Present: Stay connected to your body and sensations as feelings arise. Let the emotions flow without judgment or suppression.
- Invite Healing: After releasing, bring in a sense of support, like your inner masculine or a loving presence, to replace the old pain with safety and love.
Angel experienced a massive release through crying, laughing, and energetic burping - a unique way her body processes emotional energy. This cleared space for her to feel how her father, now transitioned from this plane, truly sees and acknowledges her worth.
Bringing It All Together: A Path to Healing and Empowerment
Angel’s session serves as a powerful example of how the inner masculine, worthiness, and father wound are interconnected. By releasing old patterns, connecting with supportive inner energies, and stepping into her worthiness, she began a new chapter of grounded empowerment. Whether you’re navigating similar wounds or seeking greater self-worth, these practices can support you on your journey. Take time to connect with your inner masculine, explore your emotions, and trust in your worthiness.
